Who can apply
“Eligible applicants include private nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations; local, tribal, and state governments; institutions of the federal government; and academic institutions.”
Programs must be free (or nominal cost), open to the general public, and impartial on political, religious or ideological viewpoints. Needs a humanities scholar, a 1:1 match (cash or in-kind such as volunteer time), and an active SAM.gov UEI and CAGE code (the CAGE code can take 12 to 15 days). A fiscal sponsor may not just accept the money for you; a partner can, if it also works on the project. Priority goes to groups with budgets of $500,000 or less. No equipment, construction, scholarships or fundraising costs.
