Who can apply
“Be 5 to 16 years old when the application is submitted, and … Be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States”
Families apply, not schools. The child also needs current testing that meets Davidson's score requirements (for example, 145+ on the Stanford-Binet 5); some test types also need three work samples. The program is free; residential summer programs for ages 8–13 cost extra.
