Who can apply

“a school, hospital, governmental unit or religious institution that holds nonprofit status similar to that of 501(c)(3) organizations”
In the funder’s own words, from entergy.com, checked Oct 2, 2026.

Entergy won't fund “Groups without 501(c)(3) or similar nonprofit status,” trips or equipment for school-related organizations, or “Activities whose sole purpose is promotion or support of a specific religion.” Its portal checks IRS records by EIN and only accepts “current documents from the Internal Revenue Service.” Check your electric bill: priority goes to Entergy's counties and parishes.
