How to apply

  1. Step 1: Fill out the educator form (name, work email, school or organization, number of students)
  2. Step 2: Print a paper pass for each fourth grader
  3. Step 3: Use the free activity guides if you like
  4. Step 4: Call the park or site before a trip to make sure it takes the pass

Who can apply

“You're an adult who engages fourth graders through a youth-serving organization. For example, … a home-school leader, an after-school leader, or a religious group leader.”

Teachers at any U.S. school also qualify. Passes are for fourth graders only. Each pass works through August 31, 2027 and can be switched to a digital pass at recreation.gov. Not every site accepts the paper pass, so call before you go.
