Who can apply

“Your organization is eligible for this grant program if it is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization or a Title I school, and is located within the 48 contiguous states.”
In the funder’s own words, from giftcardbank.org, checked Oct 10, 2026.

You must show exactly how and when you'll give the cards to people (for example, holiday baskets for 100 families). The work must fit a focus area such as food and essentials insecurity or family stability and youth development. Winners are drawn by lottery from eligible applicants. One grant a year.

  • 501(c)(3) nonprofit (or a Title I school)
  • A specific plan to hand the gift cards to families in need
  • Short final report with one story from a recipient

Timing

Round Two applications are due Friday, October 16, 2026; winners hear October 29 and cards arrive November 2 to 6. All cards must be given out by January 31, 2027. 2026 had two rounds (June and October).
