Unconfirmed: check with the funder

We couldn’t confirm these on an official page. Treat them as open questions, not facts.

Who can apply

“Eligible Applicants: 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, and government entities serving our operational communities”
In the funder’s own words, from freeportinmycommunity.com, checked Oct 21, 2026.

Arizona communities: Ajo, Bagdad, Bisbee, Globe/Miami, Greenlee County, Graham County, Green Valley/Sahuarita and Jerome/Clarkdale. You need an active, local presence there, and the project must line up with one of Freeport's Priority Social Impacts. Groups serving only Maricopa County are not accepted right now. Religion is not mentioned on the current pages. Freeport also runs Mini-Grants for Education ($100 to $500; teachers at public and private schools; 2026 round closed September 4) and a yearly Community Investment Fund ($20,000 minimum; 2026 closed June 26).

  • 501(c)(3), school or government entity
  • Active, local presence benefiting one of the listed rural Arizona communities
  • Project aligns with a Freeport Priority Social Impact
  • Budget on Freeport's required template
