Who can apply
“K-12 schools, colleges and universities, public libraries, churches, and government entities are also eligible.”
The program must be a public humanities program (history, literature, ethics, world cultures and similar). Indiana Humanities counts programs held in schools as public, so a school may offer it to its own students. You need a 1:1 cash or in-kind match and a UEI from SAM.gov before payment. No fiscal sponsors. One mini-grant per organization per calendar year. Religion: churches may apply; the only limit is that money cannot promote a political, religious or ideological view in a way that is discriminatory or exclusionary. Projects must involve humanities scholars and an ADA-accessible site. Paid to: the organization. Note: the older Getting Started page still shows an April 2025 pause notice; the Mini-Grant page and 2026 call say grants are being made in 2026.
