Unconfirmed: check with the funder

We couldn’t confirm these on an official page. Treat them as open questions, not facts.

  • ?Is the round for 2027 grants open now? The apply page still says 2026 requests are closed.
  • ?Will they fund tuition help? The program page mentions past scholarship funds, but the FAQ says they rarely fund financial aid.

How to apply

  1. Step 1: Have your IRS 501(c)(3) letter ready to upload
  2. Step 2: Write up the project, how it fits your Christian mission, the full budget and what you can pay yourself
  3. Step 3: Add vendor bids if you have them, and the dates you need a decision and the money
  4. Step 4: Submit through the Neeb grant portal by December 31

Funders change their requirements. Check the official page before you apply. Getting ready? See what funders usually ask for.

Who can apply

“Only organizations recognized by the US Internal Revenue Service under IRS Code §501(c)(3) are eligible to receive a grant from The NFF.”
In the funder’s own words, from neebff.org, checked Oct 5, 2026.

You must upload your IRS 501(c)(3) letter. The foundation says “simply being a non-profit corporation is insufficient.” It likes one-time projects that finish something (repairs, technology, classroom buildouts, curriculum) and “rarely, if ever” funds general budgets, debt, financial aid or scholarships, or capital campaigns. Requests over $25,000 are considered only when spread over two or more years.

  • IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter
  • Christian / faith-based school
  • One specific project, up to $25,000
  • Project budget plus how much you can pay yourself
  • Not for general operating costs, debt, scholarships or capital campaigns (rarely funded)

Timing

The foundation “typically accepts grant applications from September 1st until December 31st for the following year.” The board decides at its spring, summer and fall meetings. Its apply page still carries a note that 2026 requests are closed, so confirm the 2027 round is taking requests.
