Who can apply

“Any US based elementary, middle, or high school organization starting new teams.”
In the funder’s own words, from recf.org, checked Oct 9, 2026.

Grants come from sponsors, and RECF "cannot guarantee that each applicant will receive support." The coach must be 18+, pass a background check and be able to sign for the school or group. You must compete in at least one RECF event and plan to return for a second season. For the drone kit grant you buy the approved items and pay any shipping.

  • Register with RECF for the 2026-2027 season
  • Adult coach who passes a background check
  • Compete in at least one RECF-sanctioned event
  • Return for a second season
  • Allow RECF to share your contact info with the sponsor
