Who can apply

“The Texas Bar Foundation awards grants to 501(c)3 charities serving the State of Texas, and, consequently, no grants are awarded to individuals.”
In the funder’s own words, from grantinterface.com, checked Oct 28, 2026.

Every grant must fit the mission: the rule of law, the justice system, legal help for the underserved, legal ethics, legal research, and public education about the courts. One application per fiscal year (June 1 to May 31). A school under a church or national body (the page's example is the Catholic Church) sends both the national IRS letter and the local IRS letter with the local EIN.
